Duties and
Responsibilities:
Genetic Counselors work with patients and families who have
genetic, or inherited, disorders and birth defects. They also counsel
people who are at risk for these problems. Genetic Counselors often
determine factors for hereditary disease and disorder in patients.
Salary: Genetic Counselors amount of money they get is
$25,000 - $55,000.
Education: Students interested in becoming genetic
counselors should take a challenging high school science and mathematics class
that will make them understand what they want to be and help them what to do. A master's degree is
required, and most graduate programs require a strong undergraduate background
in biology, chemistry, and behavioral science. Many states require
genetic counselors to be certified.

I
honestly don’t like to be a genetic counselor because I have a great career for
me and that is skateboarding. Well genetic counselor is good to be on but I don’t
find that interesting. They get good money and they’re very good but I don’t
want to be one.
